Four Weeks serves as both an ethnographic and autoethnographic exploration of the lived experiences of two women—Cigdem, who lost her sight at a young age, and Kıvılcım, who experienced partial vision loss due to a retinal artery occlusion. It begins with Kıvılcım’s narrative as the main storyteller—a researcher—and gradually weaves Cigdem’s story together with my own, reflecting their communication via WhatsApp messages in the four weeks following Kıvılcım’s diagnosis. The story blurs the lines between perspectives and invites the viewer to explore the fluid boundaries of storytelling, while attempting to decentralize power and creating an assemblage of co-produced memories through a collaborative process.
